High-quality cable construction. The conductors of our USB cables are made of copper (CU) and are double shielded (braid and foil shielding). The foil shielded AWG28 data lines are twisted pair and provide up to 5 Gbps data transfer rate (super speed). The copper cores for the power supply (USB bus power) are thicker with AWG24. For cost reasons, other manufacturers sometimes use thinner cores or copper plated aluminium (CCA) or steel copper (CCS) as conductor material. This leads to a much worse conductivity and thus ensures a corresponding voltage drop. Our high-quality cable construction allows optimal signal transmission and power supply while at the same time higher break resistance of the cable. For perfect signal transmission, the USB ports are nickel-plated and equipped with gold-plated copper contacts.
